Duties
At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Provide policy and procedural guidance to state, local, and tribal air agencies, and work with them to coordinate the development of regulations, required revisions to State Implementation Plans (SIPs), and source-specific SIP actions.
- Initiate SIP rulemaking actions and recommendations for approving or disapproving state-submitted SIP revisions after performing review and evaluation of technical, procedural, and regulatory compliance with Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements
- Provide technical assistance to state, local, and tribal air pollution control agencies on control measures and strategies to meet the requirements of the CAA related to National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and other control programs, including the development or revision of SIPs.
