Summary

This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards, Health and Environmental Impacts Division, Ambient Standards Group.

This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.




Duties

At the entry level of this position, you will: 
- Develop National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) policy assessments of health and environmental effects to recommend revisions of standards as needed;
- Advise on scientific and technical aspects of environmental regulations, policies, and procedures to provide a basis for NAAQS rulemaking activities;
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to examine and communicate health and environmental effects of criteria pollutants and other NAAQS policy-relevant issues;
- Serve as technical representative of the Contracting Officer for the purpose of monitoring the technical progress and performance of specific delegated portions of the work under contract.
