Advanced Apprentice Relay & Meter Technician - Req 4798

This applicant pool may be used to fill additional openings within 90 days of the posting close date.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install and maintain relay protection and control systems. 
  • Provide technical support to internal/external departments and customers. 
  • Provide relay system reliability, integrity, and security. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Two years Technical College degree (or higher) with course work in electronics/electrical technologies and microprocessors or equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Advanced Apprentice Level:  
  • A minimum of two years of direct job related experience as a Relay & Meter Technician
  • Related experience will include maintenance electrical work with a strong background in one or more of the following: electrical control circuits, instrumentation control circuitry, motor controls, PLCs, or print reading in an industrial environment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN.
  • Occasional out-of-town work and after hours call-outs will be required.
  • Successful candidate will be required to complete an apprenticeship program.
  • Requires good communication skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
