This is a learning-intensive program designed to give you essential business insights and hands-on experience in your field of choice. It’s a full-time, 10-week commitment from May 31, 2023 through August 4, 2023.

What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include
As a Mobile Business analyst you’ll support the Mobile Services and Customer Experience Product Team on creating and developing products from the ground up. You’ll gain experience in SAFe style project management, product management tools (e.g. Jira Align, Smartsheets, Chalk), and bringing a project through the product development process from start to finish. You’ll assist in developing business requirements and creating customer journey maps to gain an understanding of the customer lifecycle, drive customer enhancements, and improve the customer experience. You’ll collaborate with teams across the company to bring products to launch ensuring project impacts are fully understood and accurately captured. You will help tell the story of our fast growing mobile product line and use your technical aptitude combined with your well-developed Customer Empathy Quotient to document business requirements and customer journey maps.

The Mobile Product management team focuses on improving every aspect of the customer experience, rolling out new services, and new technology. As the fastest-growing mobile provider in the United States, our team is working to ensure we continue growing and adding features that make Spectrum Mobile the best value in the industry.

You learn about how to write business requirements, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria that align with desired user and business outcomes. You will be able to articulate how our customers Learn about, Buy, Get, Use, Pay for, and get Support for our mobile products. You will produce documentation and presentations that allow technical development teams to clearly understand the “what” and “why” of the requirements.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills and foundational technology knowledge.

Here’s what it takes to get started

Required qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University with a graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program

Preferred qualifications
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship

The pay for this position has a salary range of $20.00/hr to $35.60/hr. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
