National Program and Outreach Coordinator Internship position at MENA Pacs

ABOUT MENA PACS:
Mena PACS is an international collaboration management company offering PMO and digital platform tools to global aid agencies throughout the Middle East and North African (MENA). In addition to technical tools, AMENA PACs offer studies and country analysis assessments & risk mitigation tools to for-profit and nonprofit organizations. MENA PACs work in conflict and high-risk zones at the community level and with national and regional governments, focusing on connecting top-down and bottom-up initiatives.

POSITION INTRODUCTION:
With more than one-third of its members based outside of New York and Washington, DC, the National Program and Outreach goal are to energize foreign policy discussions nationwide. The National Program supports and connects CFR members across the country. Outreach extends CFR resources and programming to a cross-section of American life, including the academic community, religious and congregational leaders; state and local officials; and journalists at the local and regional levels.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):
°      Providing research support and assist planning for various National Program and Outreach initiatives, including but not limited to monitoring policy topics and peer organization activity tracking  
°      Work with Outreach staff on list expansion projects
°      Make recommendations on pieces to promote to various Outreach audiences using CFR.org and Foreign Affairs resources
°      Assisting with other day to day duties for the department

QUALIFICATIONS

°      Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in international affairs, political science, business, or a related field
°      The student should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including A.P. classes in high school) by the time they begin an internship
°      Strong organizational skills
°      Excellent editing and research skills
°      General multitasking skills, attention to detail, and positive attitude
°      Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience using databases, preferred
°      Interest in event planning and management

POSITION CONSIDERATIONS:

·     This is an unpaid internship.
·     Externship, internship, and college credits & mentorships eligible
·     Minimum commitment of three-months – up to one year
·     French and Arabic languages are desired
·     This is a remote/teleworking position (occasional travel might be required)
·     A minimum of 25 hours - up to 40 hours/ week
·     Multiple time zones working hours
·     Starts immediately – acceptance on a rolling basis
