Summer 2022 Distribution Center Logistics Leadership Internship

DESCRIPTION:

 
At Bath & Body Works, the logistics team is coordinating the movement of our products from sourcing origins and factories throughout the world to our distribution centers in the U.S to our retails stores and direct costumers. Our logistics division is a strategic business that drives real value throughout best-in-class supply chain engineering’s, customer and trade compliance, warehousing, and management of global and regional distribution centers.
 
Our 10-week internship experience will provide a comprehensive learning experience in the area of logistics and warehouse management. Integrated in the program are opportunities to gain experience working with carriers to procure capacity, analyzing delivery data to find areas of opportunity to improve service and partnering with origin and destination sites to improve shipping alignment.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
As a Logistics Intern, you will learn and apply various tasks and processes, including, but not limited to:
·        Provide leadership to non-exempt, distribution center associates.
·        Demonstrate effective communication skills with associates, peers and leadership in a variety of business functions.
·        Make effective product flow decisions under the direction of the Manager.
·        Positively impact levels of service and cost on the Distribution Center's operation plans.
·        Support projects to procure capacity for specific segments of the supply chain such as the Bath & Body Works Regional Fulfillment center inbound program or review of our lanes for dedicated program capacity
·        Participate in variety of projects and events including:
o   Cross function onboarding
o   Functional learning
o   Bath & Body Works intern development activities



QUALIFICATIONS:


To be considered for the transportation Internship role, the following qualifications are desired:
·        University current sophomore or junior
·        Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Transportation & Logistics, Operations Management, Business -Management or related area of study.
·        Must be able to work 40 hours per week during summer
